Huitt-Zollars is pleased to announce the promotion of Wes Vote, P.E., to Vice President, who is located in our Rio Rancho, New Mexico office. In this role Wes will continue to provide clients with industry-leading civil engineering solutions, while also assuming a broader role in the strategic direction of the Public Works practice, particularly within water/wastewater projects, both locally and throughout the firm.
Throughout his career, Wes has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that exceed the needs of clients. He has exemplified his ability to lead teams of engineers and support staff in delivering successful projects as well as building strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders. Wes’ expertise lies in the design of wastewater collection systems including gravity sewer mains, lift stations, force mains, vacuum transmission systems, and low-pressure transmission systems. He also possesses extensive experience in the design of wastewater treatment facilities, where he has successfully implemented secondary and tertiary levels of treatment, including advanced filtration systems, to achieve Class 1A effluent. He has served as project manager for the Coors Area Combination Vacuum/Gravity Lift Station and Collection System in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and City of Hobbs Effluent Reuse in Hobbs, New Mexico, as well as Client Manager for the Ruidoso Water Rate Analysis in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
Wes earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Mexico and is a licensed Civil Engineer in the state of New Mexico. Additionally, he is actively involved in the American Water Works Association, Water Environment Federation, and Water Reuse Association.
