We are excited to announce that Thomas (Tom) Granillo, P.E., RPLS, has re-joined Huitt-Zollars as the Survey Manager in our Phoenix office. In addition to managing staff and survey projects in Phoenix, Tom will oversee the survey mapping in Arizona. He brings over 36 years of experience in land surveying and civil engineering serving clients in both the public works and land development sectors.
Tom’s surveying skills include ALTA surveys, boundary surveys, drone mapping, legal descriptions, and boundary resolution. Additionally, he is skilled in infrastructure planning, roadway design, drainage, hydrologic modeling, storm drain design, and design of large-diameter water mains, trunk main sewers, and non-potable water mains. Before re-joining Huitt-Zollars, Tom served as an Associate Director at an ENR 500 national firm where he oversaw the survey department, supporting civil design and survey projects for both the public and private sectors. He also previously worked for Hoskin Ryan/Huitt-Zollars as a Project Manager and Civil Engineer managing large regional drainage projects for public clients including local municipalities, the Gila River Indian Community, and the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT). Additionally, Tom led his own consulting firm for 10 years, a multidisciplinary practice with an emphasis on mapping, surveying, planning, drainage, design services, permitting, and construction staking services.
Tom earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Arizona State University, and he is a licensed engineer and registered professional land surveyor in Arizona. Tom previously served on the State Board Enforcement Advisory Committee (EAC).
