Planning, design, and construction administration services were provided for a six-field sports complex at 94th St. and Bell Rd. The complex includes 6 lighted professional quality sand-based fields; 600 space parking lot; restroom, office, and maintenance building facilities, shaded plaza, multi-use path, walkways, box culvert wash crossings, roadway extension, new turn lanes, and landscaping. Landscaping included over 200 salvaged trees and cacti. Two virtual public meetings were produced, and stakeholder involvement included the high voltage transmission corridor power companies: WAPA, SRP, and APS. The project required an expedited design with strict adherence to the design and construction schedule to ensure the turf would be established in the summer of 2021. The completion date was imperative due the multi-use nature of this complex, in which the project had to provide event parking on the fields for the February 2022 PGA Waste Management Phoenix Open Golf Tournament.
