Pursuant to the passage of the 2015 Bond Program, Aldine Independent School District engaged Huitt-Zollars to develop elementary and middle school prototypes. Five new school campuses including two elementary schools and three middle schools opened in the fall of 2019.
Dr. Viola M. Garcia Middle School holds 1,200 students from sixth to eighth grade. The 200,000-square-foot middle school is two stories and includes classrooms, science labs, art labs, cafeteria and kitchen, auditorium, band room, nurse’s station, administrative offices, practice and competition gymnasiums, practice baseball and football fields, tennis courts, and a practice track.
