County Road 266 Widening and Safety Improvements

Huitt-Zollars designed the roadway mobility and safety improvements for a 1.9-mile stretch of CR 266 (Old Bastrop Highway) between Francis Harris Lane and Centerpoint Drive in San Marcos, Texas. The project entailed widening of (two 12-foot lanes, addition of ten-foot shoulders, and improvements/realignments at selected intersections. As prime consultant, Huitt-Zollars’ responsibilities included roadway and drainage engineering, surveying, right-of-way acquisition services, utility coordination, geotechnical analyses, and environmental documentation for the preparation of full plans, specifications and construction estimates (PS&E) for the roadway improvements.
